Trip to Telluride

We had a fabulous trip to Telluride in March. We spent eight days in the snow and sunny weather. Glen and Vicki came the first weekend we were there and spent some time with M while Chase and I hit the slopes.

We did all kinds of things. We took a sleigh ride with Roudy, walked about town, rode the Gondola, and relaxed. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Updates for the New Year

We hope you all had a great holiday. We had a memorable first Christmas at our house with Meredith. Chase had a lot of time off of work so that gave us the chance to spend some time together as a family...it was nice.

Anyways, M learned how to roll over. It took her only a few days and now she rolls every chance she getting. She is so strong.

Today we had our first music class at the Motherhood Center. There are about six other babies in the class as well and Meredith is the youngest by two months. She had an awesome time playing, dancing and singing with her mommy. We are signed up to go every Monday for the next three months.

Off to the Doctor

This morning Meredith had an appointment with our Pediatrician. The appointment was for a check up and for her first round of shots. She did so well. She only cried a little when they gave her her shots, but who could blame her...even I cried. Not only do I HATE needles but I HATED knowing that she was in pain and could not do anything for her.

Anyways, as for her weight, she is now 11 lbs., 4 oz.; which puts her in the 75th percentile and she is 25 inches long; which puts her in the 79th percentile.

The doctor also placed her on her stomach to see how well she held her head up and was floored by how well M did. She said that babies her age are not very good at holding their heads up and can usually only do it to a certain height and only for a short amount of time. Meredith can not only hold her head up for long periods of time, but she is holding her chest up by using her elbows! She is so strong and growing so fast.

We have our next appointment in two months.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had our very first Thanksgiving with Meredith! We went down to Tiki Island on Thanksgiving morning and spent the night with my family. We had a huge meal including Grandmother Sharps' dressing and my Grandmothers' Stuffed Celery...which I made. Below are a couple of pics of M helping me in the kitchen.

On to Park City!

Last Thursday Chase, myself and Meredith were off to Park City, Utah. She was perfect on the flights there and back.

The first night in Utah we stayed in Salt Lake City in the nicest suite at the Grand America. We drove around, ordered room service, and enjoyed a relaxing night together. The next morning we ordered breakfast in the room and got ready to drive to Park City. Chase surprised me by having us stay in a cottage with perfect views of the mountains and a lake. It snowed the duration of our stay which made it really feel like winter.

It was an awesome trip. Thank you Hubby!!
