It's a Girl!!

It's a GIRL!!! We went to the doctor today and were so shocked when he told us we are having a girl. It took a little while to sink in but we are really excited and can now start getting ready. We have not picked the name for her yet...we are stuck on two.

She is waving to us in the first picture. It is a clear view of her little hand.

After the doctors appointment we went shopping for her first outfit. We got her a dress and a swimming suit that will fit her when next summer comes around. We even had Emmy try them on.

Thank you all for being so supportive and making this experience so special. So bring on the pink!

Third Doctors Appointment

Today was suppose to be the day that Chase and I found out the sex of our baby, however that did not happen. The baby decided to make use wait a little while longer. When the doctor went to do the ultrasound he found that the baby had crossed its legs and they were pushed into its private area...leaving no clear view. But again it was great to see the baby and how it has progressed. The top picture has a clear view of the baby's bent arm and elbow.

The good thing is that the baby has a healthy heart beat and is growing perfectly. We also got the results from our last visit when we did the genetic testing. The results showed that the baby's risk of having Down Syndrome and other genetic deformities is at the lowest of the low.

We are going back in two weeks for another ultrasounds and hopefully will get to find out the sex then. Fingers crossed.

Weekend in Dallas

This last weekend Chase and I went up to Dallas to see Cole one last time before he left for overseas once again. We had a great time. Our first night in Dallas we stayed at the W Hotel downtown. The room was perfect and it was a great way to spend time together just the two of us.

On Saturday night the entire family got together for dinner at Traildust. The restaurant had this huge slide that not only did the children enjoy but so did some of the adults. It was so fun seeing everyone and catching up. Everyone pray for Cole.

Second Doctors Appointment

Chase and I had our second doctors appointment today. We had genetic testing and an ultrasound done. Everything looks very good. The baby is growing at a healthy rate. We will find out the results next week.

This was another amazing experience. The baby is hanging out on the left side of my uterus and has its head down; as I am sure you can from the picture. During the ultrasound the baby was very active. Its arms and legs were moving all over the place. We have another doctors appointment in two weeks to find out the sex! We were so surprised when the doctor told us that.

Everything is moving so fast but we are excited for what is coming.

Malori's Birthday

March 3rd was Malori's 26th birthday, and in keeping with her personality she had a "Wig Out" themed birthday dinner at Lupe Tortilla. It was so fun to dress up and see what other people had come up with. Mal's favorite color is pink so it was fitting that she wore a pink wig and it looked awesome. I chose a short black wig because it is completely different from my look and Chase chose to go as himself. After dinner we went back to Blake's house to enjoy some birthday cake and a few rounds of Taboo.

Chase's 30th Birthday Continued

 On Friday, February 24th, I had a little surprise for Chase. I told him that we were going Molina's to have dinner with two other couples that we are friends with. In reality I had set up a surprise party with some of Chase's closest friends and family from out of town. Everything went so smoothly. We got there on time but Chase had to run next door to the ATM; which was perfect. I told him that I would meet him inside and when he walked in everyone stood up and yelled "surprise". The look on his face was priceless. He was so shocked that so many people had come in from out of town just for him.

 Everyone stayed in Houston the entire weekend. We ate great food, laughed a lot and really enjoyed all being together. Thank you to everyone that made his birthday so special.
