Weekend in Dallas

This last weekend Chase and I went up to Dallas to see Cole one last time before he left for overseas once again. We had a great time. Our first night in Dallas we stayed at the W Hotel downtown. The room was perfect and it was a great way to spend time together just the two of us.

On Saturday night the entire family got together for dinner at Traildust. The restaurant had this huge slide that not only did the children enjoy but so did some of the adults. It was so fun seeing everyone and catching up. Everyone pray for Cole.

Second Doctors Appointment

Chase and I had our second doctors appointment today. We had genetic testing and an ultrasound done. Everything looks very good. The baby is growing at a healthy rate. We will find out the results next week.

This was another amazing experience. The baby is hanging out on the left side of my uterus and has its head down; as I am sure you can from the picture. During the ultrasound the baby was very active. Its arms and legs were moving all over the place. We have another doctors appointment in two weeks to find out the sex! We were so surprised when the doctor told us that.

Everything is moving so fast but we are excited for what is coming.

Malori's Birthday

March 3rd was Malori's 26th birthday, and in keeping with her personality she had a "Wig Out" themed birthday dinner at Lupe Tortilla. It was so fun to dress up and see what other people had come up with. Mal's favorite color is pink so it was fitting that she wore a pink wig and it looked awesome. I chose a short black wig because it is completely different from my look and Chase chose to go as himself. After dinner we went back to Blake's house to enjoy some birthday cake and a few rounds of Taboo.

Chase's 30th Birthday Continued

 On Friday, February 24th, I had a little surprise for Chase. I told him that we were going Molina's to have dinner with two other couples that we are friends with. In reality I had set up a surprise party with some of Chase's closest friends and family from out of town. Everything went so smoothly. We got there on time but Chase had to run next door to the ATM; which was perfect. I told him that I would meet him inside and when he walked in everyone stood up and yelled "surprise". The look on his face was priceless. He was so shocked that so many people had come in from out of town just for him.

 Everyone stayed in Houston the entire weekend. We ate great food, laughed a lot and really enjoyed all being together. Thank you to everyone that made his birthday so special.

Chase's 30th Birthday

We had Chase's 30th birthday party in the "Wine Room" at Perry's Steakhouse. We had such a great time with a lot of outstanding food and friends.

Chase also took last night as an opportunity to share that we are pregnant. Everyone that he works with was shocked at the news and the fact that Chase held in that information for so long.

Tonight, on his actual birthday, I have a little surprise in store for him and I am sure that he is going to be thrilled.

The First Picture

Chase and I went to the doctor on February 9th to hear the heart beat. We were a little nervous but excited at the same time because this is so new to us and so far I had not had any signs of being pregnant; such as morning sickness or fatigue. The experience was so amazing and it was a big relief to know that everything is going well.

As of today I am 8, going on 9, weeks pregnant and my due date is September 22nd. We have another doctors appointment on March 14th to do genetic testing and have another ultrasound.

The entire experience thus far has been so great. Everyone that we have told has been overwhelmingly supportive and happy for us. Our parents could not be more thrilled!

Good News!

Chase and I are very happy to announce that we are adding to our family! We first found out that I was pregnant on January 11th. I just took the test just to take one and was so suprised to see it come out positive. The look on Chase's face was priceless.
